We had a lovely time on Tuesday morning, showing Maggie and Richard (from Monkey’s Tale) around Tavira. What a charming couple! They might well recognise some of these doors. I’m sure that Becky will too.

Even Dan must be getting a little familiar with Tavira. The house at no. 13 above is special to me. I would have loved to buy it in it’s ramshackle state, but the situation, up a rickety flight of cobbled steps, was far from ideal and our DIY skills are limited. The buyers have done a fine job of renovation.
P. S. This is my 7th Squares post and may well be my last, as I should get back to the walks on Monday, but I have had a lot of fun with this so you never know. Thanks, Becky!
A wonderful variety of Tavira doors, Jo. I would love to visit your part of the world again someday. Wishing you well! 🙂

As coordination challenge as I am, I would definitely be tripping on those cobblestones because
I would be ogling all of the beauitful architecture surrounding me. These are fabulous, Jo. It feels
like you are in the midst of history. Lovely … just Lovely.

Like you, I’ve been very lucky in my choice of homes, Tina. Our environments are very different, but have a lot in common. Thanks so much for being here this morning. I’m playing tour guide again today, but to UK friends this time.

Can you imagine how lovely the old ramshackle doors would be with some TLC. They would be as grand as the others.

I’ve been but only to the Algarve. I would love to see more of the country and Lisbon is on my bucket list. I worked with a lady from there and she really sold it to me.

The east and west of the Algarve are great. I’m not so fussy on the bit in the middle. Lisbon and Porto are both beautiful cities, as is Braga. Plenty to see, if you have the time and money.

Fabulous collection Jo. I have a fondness for the ramshackle ones, but know that the work involved on such a project can be unending!

Thanks, Graham! The Portuguese system is so different to what we’re used, and that house really wasn’t a practical option for us, but I still look and wonder.
