My mother used to say that! A casual stroll around Tavira reveals any number of handsome doors. Is there one in particular you’d like to open? I am, of course, joining Dan’s Thursday Doors, as promised. His are magnificent this week.

Some great doors. Definitely some that you might want to open and others not.

Such a lovely sentiment! Your mother was wise and intuitive 😊 I like the door with the wrought iron gate. The green one with the tile on either side is also really nice.

Hi, Carolyn! I don’t know what Mam would have made of me living here in the Algarve. She died long before I made the move xx

Beautiful doors! I wish we had such original doors in our neighborhood as well. Call me nosy … but I’d love to see what’s going on behind each of these doors 😉.

The ones on my estate are pretty ordinary, Corna, but if you go down to the old part of town they are all interesting. Including the decrepit ones xx

That’s a side entry to the Carmo church, Carol. Beside it or below, depending on whether you’re looking on a laptop or phone. I always forget that the formatting is different for both.
